Liaisons | OIT's Faculty Connection
What's An IT Liaison?
Faculty IT Liaisons are tasked with the job of making academic administrators and faculty in their departments and divisions aware of the Office of Information Technology's mission, special projects, processes, support and training options.
Specifically, IT Liaisons:
- attend a one-hour meeting each semester they serve as IT Liaisons
- help to represent and explain the purpose of the Office of Instructional Technology specifically and OIT generally in their department, committee, and taskforce meetings
- assist in directing/encouraging faculty members who wish to (or need to) learn more about teaching with technology to the Office of Instructional Technology for consultations and workshops
- read all of the OIT emails and newsletters, and casually remind their colleagues and students (at meetings, during classes, in hallways, etc.) of any events, outages, or issues that are timely and relevant (from a faculty or student perspective)
- share with OIT your ideas or the ideas of your colleagues for improving OIT services online and on campus
